Welcome to the Jedi Archives
The Jedi Archives are located deep in the Jedi Temple, and store massive amounts of information about Jedi, Sith, and pretty much everything else about the galaxy. The archives are mainly taken care of by Jedi Master Jocasta Nu, a human Jedi who has witnessed much action on the battlefield but prefers to continuously access vast amounts of knowledge and help her fellow Jedi find what they need amongst the shelves and shelves of information in the huge library.
What are Jedi?
The Jedi High Council
Jedi are an ancient order of beings that use the Force, a massive telekinetic power connected to them by microscopic beings called 'midi-chlorians'. The more midi-chlorians a being has, the more powerful in the ways of the Force. This great power gives them the ability to sense others emotions; immense strength and endurance (far superior to that of a normal, non-Force using being); excellent focus and some extremely powerful Jedi have the ability to heal. Very rarely, a Jedi might be powerful enough to raise people from the dead.
The Jedi were trusted by the Republic to protect them from evil organisations such as the Seperatists, the Trade Federation and the order of Dark Force users called Sith.

Introduction to Star Wars
Anakin Skywalker
The main plot of Star Wars is about an extremely Force-sensitive boy named Anakin Skywalker, who is discovered on the remote desert planet of Tatooine by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. He then trains as a Jedi, but is angered and saddened at his mother's death. He is fearful that Padme, his secret wife, may befall the same fate, and believes that the only way he can become powerful enough to save her is to join the Dark Side of the Force. He is finally convinced by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, otherwise known as the Sith emperor, to make the dark transition and join him. Anakin's downward spiral to the Dark side ended in the near destruction of the Jedi Order, the change of his name to Darth Vader, the death of Padme, and a full-on battle with his former Master, Obi-Wan.
Almost twenty years later, his son, Luke Skywalker, appeared as a rebel threat who succeeded in destroying the first Death Star. He too was Force sensitive and was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master and High Jedi Council member, Jedi Master Yoda.Luke went on many missions for the rebel alliance and with his friends, Han Solo and the wookiee Chewbacca, and his sister, Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. Finally, Luke went up against his father in two fierce lightsaber battles, the second one being over seen by the emperor. When it was deemed impossible for Luke to turn to the Dark side, (which was Darth Vader's ambition all along), he Sith-lightninged Luke to try and kill him. Eventually, after a few long moments of witnessing his son's suffering, stepped in and destroyed the emperor, but he himself died in the process. Afterwards there was much celebrating over the Empire's defeat on many worlds that had previously lived under the tyranny that the Empire thought would keep galactic peace by instilling fear into the many citizens they ruled.
The saga is continued with many spin-off series of books and games, most of with display the survival of the Jedi Order and the marriage of Han Solo and Princess Leia, and their children.
